Peaking three times in 24 hours is a challenge for anyone in midlife so it’s hats off to those who take part in the National Three Peaks Challenge.
A 25 mile hike ascending the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), a total ascent of 3407 metres and all within a timeframe of 24 hours.
It’s a tough event and one that needs expert guidance.
